I’M NEW! WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Here at ALLY, we offer you the new baseline of what boutique fitness has to offer. Starting as a cycle-only boutique studio, swing by and join the squad in an adrenaline-pumping and inspiring 50-minute rhythm cycling class. We ride and move to the beat of the music, incorporating upper body choreography and movement for that extra excitement and pump.

We offer introductory and essential classes at the studio, lifestyle workshops, literally anything that can add value to your life in some way or another – or at least we aspire to do so. Getting sweaty and working out is an important facet of creating a balanced lifestyle. We recommend friends that are new to group fitness classes to experience the benefits of incorporating a little sweat-out session in your day, and our Essentials 50 ride class most definitely is the best option to kickstart your journey! See you in the studio!

I HAVE NEVER DONE AN INDOOR CYCLING CLASS, WILL I BE OK?

We all start somewhere. Our ride classes are suitable for all abilities and experience levels. Our essential ride class is open to our newer friends and experienced members, emphasizing the ride foundation with simpler routines. You’ll still benefit the mind and body as much as our signature 50 classes. Our rockstar instructors and friendly front desk team will bring you through the ALLY experience, setting the foundation nice and strong before you explore and grow further with your squad.

WHAT DO I WEAR AND WHAT DO I BRING ALONG FOR CLASS?

We recommend that you come in your workout gear, and a handy water bottle, and we got the rest covered! Wear something that will not restrict your movements and something that you will feel comfortable sweating in. At the studio, you will change into our Shimano cycle shoes (SPD-SL compatible cleats) which we provide at no extra charge as long as you book into a class. It is compulsory to wear a pair of socks when you ride for hygiene purposes. If you forgot to bring a pair of socks, we sell plain socks at the studio as well. Sweat towels will be provided, and post-class shower amenities by Aesop are provided as well. 

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Start by creating your ALLY account. As you are new to our studio, we are offering you a special New to ALLY – (3) Sessions at SGD 89 or New to ALLY – 7 days unlimited at SGD 99 that you can purchase to first try out our studio and find your favorite instructor. Thereafter, select the date and class you wish to attend and pick your preferred bike.

We recommend that if you are new to this sport, pick a bike on the second or third row so that you can follow your squad in the first row. Trust us, it helps! After booking, You will receive an email that shares more information before your first class. We recommend arriving 30 minutes before your first class just to settle into our amazingly huge studio and enjoy the facilities and amenities we’d offer.

YOUR NEW WORKOUT AND HANGOUT SPOT

WHERE CAN I PARK AND WHERE ARE THE ENTRANCES TO THE STUDIO?

Parking is available right at the building. We are located on level 2 of Manulife Tower, at 8 Cross Street. Parking at level 2 will grant you direct access to the studio. If you are coming by public transport or private hire, take the escalator right beside the drop-off point located at Cheang Wan Seng Place Street, which brings you straight into our studio space.

WHAT DO YOU OFFER IN THE STUDIO SPACE?

This is your new healthy hangout. We want you to treat this space as your second home. Come for a workout in our semi-circular 55 bikes capacity studio, refresh in our change rooms with complete amenities, before refueling at our fully functioning bar, neighborhood, serving freshly pulled espresso coffee and energy smoothies. If you choose to lounge and get some work done at the studio, you are more than welcome to do so. It’s your space after all!

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT CLASS TYPES THE STUDIO OFFERS?

We provide 2 different ride classes – Essentials 50 and Signature 50. Keep a look out for themed classes that happen frequently as well. 

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ESSENTIALS 50 AND SIGNATURE 50 RIDE CLASSES?

The Essentials 50 is a 50 minutes class designed for individuals across all levels of fitness. It comprises a 5 minutes primer – including bike set up, proper riding technique, and basic choreography – followed by a 45 minutes ride and cool down. The class combines a mix of cardiovascular conditioning and strength building, all set to a meticulously curated playlist designed to leave you energized and challenged.

The Signature 50 is a 50 minutes ride and cool down tailored to seasoned riders looking for an extra push. Feel the burn in our signature high-intensity sequence that will build your endurance and make you stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. We recommend newcomers take a minimum of 10 classes before trying our Signature 50 class.

WHAT ARE COMMUNITY CLASSES?

Community classes are free-to-attend rides led by our newest instructors. They are free-to-attend classes for members. You’ll need an active credit in your account to book a bike in the class. 

You will receive a return credit after class to use at the studio again within the following 4 weeks. The return credit does not apply to the following bookings:

  • Bikes assigned to members’ guests
  • Bookings made with New to ALLY Trial packages 
  • Bookings made with Complimentary credits (i.e. SQUAD credits, Best Friends credits, or A-List Guest Pass credits)

Regular booking policies apply. No shows and late cancellation will result in a forfeit of the credit. 

Promotions cannot be stacked. For the community class, the community ride terms and conditions will supersede any other promotions’ terms and conditions. 

WHAT AMENITIES ARE PROVIDED IN THE CHANGE ROOMS?

Think airport lounge, think primo hotels. Lather yourself in our Aesop shower amenities leaving you feeling fresh as a rockstar. Separate men’s and women’s specific amenities are provided in respective change rooms as well.

ARE THERE SPACES WHERE I CAN STRETCH AND LOUNGE?

Yes and yes! There are ample spaces in the studio that are made for you to lounge and relax before and even after class. Pre-order and grab your recovery or celebratory smoothie at our in-studio bar – neighborhood – after your workout and receive a 10% discount.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGES?

We house a fully functioning bar, neighborhood, that offers a curated menu of pre and post-class pick-me-ups – from specialty coffee to energy shakes.

NEW TO ALLY - 7 DAYS UNLIMITED vs NEW TO ALLY - (3) SESSIONS TRIAL PACKAGE

The New to ALLY – 7 Days Unlimited Trial package is only available to first-time ALLY clients. You can book up to 3 classes per day, for 7 consecutive days after your first class is booked. Note that each late cancellation, late coming, or no-show class will result in a deduction of 1 day in your 7-day trial. You are only allowed to book Essential 50 classes with this package.

The New to ALLY – (3) Sessions Trial package is only available to first-time ALLY clients. You will only be allowed to book Essential 50 classes with this package.

 

WHAT IS THE CREDIT BUNDLE MEMBERSHIP?

A credit bundle is a single or group of sessions that you can use as and when before they expire. Your series is activated on the day of your first class booked. Your series will automatically expire after 30 days if left unactivated. All standard credit bundle memberships have a validity of 12 months. The validity period for promotional and special credit bundles may differ.

We offer single (1) class, (5) classes, (15) classes, (30) classes, and (50) classes credit bundles. You will be reminded to utilize all credits before the expiry date, and that any remaining credits after the validity period are strictly not redeemable or refundable for cash.

Use your classes whenever and however it suits you. Except for the New to ALLY Trial Package, you can book up to 5 bikes in each class. You can assign the bikes to your friends and family on the booking page. 

Do note that the aforementioned credit bundle memberships are not transferable to another name, and only the (50) class credit bundle can be shared with 1 other friend or family (i.e, 2 separate ALLY accounts/email addresses sharing the same (50) class credit bundle) unless otherwise specified.

HOW CAN I PURCHASE A CREDIT BUNDLE?

You can do so directly from the ‘BUY CLASSES’ tab on the website or mobile application. Alternatively, you can do so at the studio as well. If you are unsure of which membership or credit bundles are best suited for you, drop us a call at +65 6518 9588 or an email at reach@ally.family and we will be happy to assist. If you wish to make an advance purchase and subsequently make payment at the studio, please drop us a call or email and we will be glad to accommodate.

ARE SHARING OF MEMBERSHIPS ALLOWED?

We like to keep things simple. We do allow sharing of 50 class credit bundles only between 2 ALLY accounts. To have your account(s) linked up with your friend(s), please email us at reach@ally.family with your ALLY account email address and your request. 

Except for the New to ALLY Trial Package, all credit bundle membership, unless otherwise stated in the promotional T&Cs, allows you to book up to 5 bikes in each class. You may assign all 5 bikes to your friends and family on the booking page. All friends and family must have a valid account with ALLY.

WHAT IS THE A-LIST 50 MEMBERSHIP?

The A-LIST 50 membership is a limited, promotional and exclusive membership program, limited to the first 50 unique accounts who purchase this credit bundle package. You will be entitled to special perks and privileges, along with 50 class credits at your disposal. You will form the founding members here at ALLY 8 Cross Street. Under this special credit bundle membership, you can book and assign bikes to your friends under your account as well. Note that this promotional package is not shareable between accounts.

WHAT’S YOUR REFUND POLICY?

As applicable, credit bundles and membership are non-refundable. No exceptions once a purchase is made. We do not offer refunds on purchases for our services, beyond your statutory rights. We plead that you are comfortable and certain about our studio and product offerings before making extravagant purchases.

CAN I EXTEND MY CREDIT BUNDLE MEMBERSHIP?

Extensions of series are based on a case-by-case basis. If you require an extension, kindly drop us an email at reach@ally.family with relevant documentation and we will gladly assist.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE STUDIO HAS TO REDUCE OPERATING CAPACITY OR CLOSE DUE TO COVID?

If our studio is forced to close as a result of government measures, all packages and memberships will be automatically frozen – you don’t need to do anything.

If a reduced operating capacity is enforced, please refer to any updated measures on our website. We will make sure that all members are taken care of with peace of mind.

WHAT ARE COMPLIMENTARY CREDITS?

Complimentary credits include the following:

BOOKING AND CANCELLATIONS

HOW DO I BOOK CLASSES?

Our online schedule is released up to 2 weeks in advance and the booking window opens every Monday at 9:00 PM, for classes held in the next week from Monday to Sunday. Set your alarms to guarantee a higher chance to secure your favorite bike and instructor. You can book into any class up to 5 mins before the start time. If your preferred class is fully booked, you can add yourself to the online waitlist to try your luck at grabbing a spot.

We also offer Private Ride Passes to all members. Write to us at reach@ally.family if you would like to organize a private class.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

The waitlist for classes opens when the class is fully booked online. You will move up the waitlist when members cancel their spots for that particular class. There is no guarantee that you will be allocated a spot, so do check your account to see if you have secured a bike in class or not. The waitlist is first-come-first-serve. You’ll need session credit in your account to secure your spot.

The waitlist will stop auto-enrolling members 12 hours before the start time of class. Classes will open up for booking on our schedule if there are any late cancellations. You may check the schedule and book into any available slots. 

Note: All members must check-in 5 minutes before the start of class. Failing which, they will have their spots released to members on the waitlist, any walk-ins members, or members who wish to switch bikes. 

HOW EARLY SHOULD I REACH THE STUDIO?

We recommend that new members arrive 30 mins prior to the class start time so that you can explore and get familiar with the studio and the setting up of your bike. For all other members, arrive early for your mind to free up and prepare for the crazy class ahead.

A lot goes into the final minutes before class, hence as part of our studio policy to practice punctuality and fairness, all members must check-in 5 minutes before the start of class. Thereafter, your bike will be opened up to any potential members on the waitlist and walk-ins.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE FOR CLASS?

The spin room door will close at the start time of class. Once the door is closed, no members will be allowed in to prevent disturbance to the other members in class. Your credit will unfortunately be deducted as well.

CAN I LEAVE CLASS EARLY?

As a safety precaution and to respect the experience of fellow guests, we ask that you only book yourself into classes that you know you can fully attend from start to finish (including the stretch). All classes start and end on time to respect your commitments outside of our space.

CAN I MOVE MY RESERVATION?

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy.

If you cancel with less than 12 hours to go, all credit bundle holders have their credit(s) forfeited for that class. 7 Day unlimited trial holders will have 1 day deducted from their trial period.

WHAT IF I DIDN'T SHOW UP?

We have a strict no-refund policy on classes canceled within 12 hrs or less of the start time. All members who are booked in but didn’t show up will also have their credit forfeited for that class. 7 Day unlimited trial holders will have 1 day deducted from their trial period.

OTHERS

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

We welcome students of all ages! All members, regardless of age, will have to sign a waiver form before their first class. Members below the age of 18 will have to have an accompanying adult present to sign the waiver form.

CAN I REFER MY FRIEND TO ALLY?

Most definitely! Spread the message of ALLY to your friends and family. We will be launching a referral program soon for you, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media accounts.

I WANT TO BRING MY PHONE INTO CLASS!

We have no qualms about bringing your phone into the cycle room, however, put it on flight safety mode and flip and face your mobile screen towards the ground to prevent any accidental light-up of the screen. We strictly only welcome photos and videos before the start of class and after the post-class stretch.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS OR PETS TO THE STUDIO AS I ROCK OUT IN CLASS?

We’d love to have furry pets here! We do not offer pet sitting services at this time.

We love the little ones, but all infants and toddlers must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. All other children that are able to take care of themselves are welcomed to lounge in the communal area. We might even offer a free smoothie to your young one.

International Day of Happiness: Pay It Forward Campaign

PAY IT FORWARD CAMPAIGN?

Gratitude and Togetherness have always been the bedrock of what we do at ALLY. This month in line with the International Day of Happiness, we want to extend our appreciation to our dedicated frontline healthcare professionals who have been doing their best to keep our communities safe and healthy. 

This March and April, we invite all members and the public to participate in our ALLY Pay It Forward Campaign by gifting a single class to deserving healthcare professionals. Your credit will be passed on to a deserving individual who expressed interest in attending a class. They will be able to book into “Pay It Forward” Themed classes in the coming weeks.

Let’s share our space filled with warmth and inspiring energy, and provide them a space to escape and recharge on their day off.

WHO CAN JOIN AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE PAY IT FORWARD CAMPAIGN?

We welcome everyone! Members and the public can partake in the campaign to share a class with a deserving individual working in the Healthcare industry.

FOR MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC: HOW TO PAY IT FORWARD?

  1. Members can easily Pay It Forward by booking bikes in classes labeled ‘Count me in: PAY IT FORWARD Compaign’ found on the studio’s booking platform. 
  2. ‘Count me in: PAY IT FORWARD Campaign’ classes can be found at the end of every Sunday schedule.
  3. Members who contributed class credits to the Initiative will receive a confirmation email for all contributions by the end of the week. 
  4. All members’ contributions are recorded.
  5. ALLY will match every Member’s contribution – 1 to 1 for every credit each Member contributes.
  6. For any reason the signup rate of Participants is less than the number of credits collected in the Campaign, all unused will be stored and carried forward to future campaigns held and organized by ALLY. 
  7. The public can Pay It Forward by first purchasing a credit bundle of choice, followed by completing steps 1 and 2.

 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BE A PARTICIPANT OF THE PAY IT FORWARD CLASSES?

Who is eligible?

  1. The staff of public healthcare institutions, such as acute hospitals, community hospitals, and polyclinics.
  2. Staff from community care organizations that deliver front-line healthcare services, such as in nursing homes.
  3. Any other healthcare professional working to fight COVID-19.

WHERE DO I SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PAY IT FORWARD CLASSES?

Follow the steps below:

  1. Interested participants can sign up and attend special PAY IT FORWARD classes through the google form link found on ALLY’s Instagram account, @allysingapore.
  2. Interested participants must provide proof of document(.pdf) or Image(.jpg) (such as staff passes, business card, or any other records with your name clearly shown) to suggest that the Participant is working as a healthcare professional in Singapore. 
  3. For each successful signup, one PAY IT FORWARD class credit will be credited into the participants’ ALLY account within 48 hours of sign up.
  4. Class bookings must be done on our booking platform through your ALLY account. 
  5. These credits can only be used to book any classes on the schedule labeled ‘PAY IT FORWARD class’, and they are released periodically on our booking platform. Class bookings follow our regular schedule. 
  6. Our online schedule is released up to 2 weeks in advance and the booking window opens every Monday at 9:00 PM, for classes held in the next week from Monday to Sunday.
  7. For PAY IT FORWARD classes, the schedule will be published on our Instagram account in addition to our booking platform for reference.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ATTENDING THE PAY IT FORWARD CLASSES:

  1. Participants attending classes must be the same person that signed up. 
  2. PAY IT FORWARD class credits are not transferable, sharable, or exchangeable for cash or any other item or otherwise, either partially or wholly.
  3. Participants must bring the same proof of document during the day of the ride for verification purposes.
  4. There is no fixed number of PAY IT FORWARD classes available for booking, and the promotional period can end at any date.
  5. ALLY reserves the right to amend the Promotional Period of the Initiative, add or remove any Pay It Forward classes according to a participation rate and other reasons at any time. 
  6. Participants are encouraged to book into the available PAY IT FORWARD classes. Any remaining PAY IT FORWARD class credits will expire when the promotional period ends.
  7. ALLY reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion, replace and/or substitute the PAY IT FORWARD credit with any other item of a similar value during the Promotional Period.

ALLY CONTRIBUTIONS:

ALLY Singapore will be matching 1:1 for every credit contributed by members and the public in this initiative. All credits will be passed on to deserving individuals who signed up for this campaign.

Qualifying Period

The ALLY Pay It Forward Campaign (“Campaign”) is from 00:00, 16 March 2022, to 23:59, 30 April 2022 (both dates inclusive) (“Promotional Period”)

ALLY reserves the right to amend the Promotional Period of Pay It Forward Campaign, add or remove any Pay It Forward classes according to participation rate and other reasons, as well as revise and change the Terms and Conditions. 

 

Eligibility

  1. All members of ALLY or the public (“Member(s)”) can participate and contribute to the Campaign in the form of Paying It Forward their class credits. 
  2. The staff of public healthcare institutions (such as acute hospitals, community hospitals, and polyclinics), community care organizations that deliver front-line healthcare services (such as in nursing homes), and any other healthcare professional working to fight COVID-19 are eligible to sign up and benefit from the Campaign (“Participant(s)”).
  3. Interested participants can sign up through the google form link found on ALLY’s Instagram account, @allysingapore. 
  4. ALLY has the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of Participants. Such determination shall be final and conclusive and ALLY is not obliged to give any reason for its determination.

 

Paying It Forward – Members Contributions

  1. Members can easily Pay It Forward by booking bikes in classes labeled ‘Count me in: PAY IT FORWARD Initiative’ found on the studio’s booking platform. 
  2. ‘Count me in: PAY IT FORWARD Campaign’ classes can be found at the end of every Sunday schedule.

Use of Personal Information

  1. By participating in the Initiative, the Participants and Members are deemed to have consented to: i) the collection, use, and disclosure of his/her name, particulars, image, voice, and/or likeness by ALLY for documentation purposes; ii) any editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing, and/or other purposes without any payment and/or compensation except where prohibited by law; and iii) receiving promotional, marketing, and other publicity information from ALLY from time to time.

 

General

  1. The decisions of ALLY on all matters relating to or in connection with the Campaign are final, conclusive, and binding. ALLY shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning the Initiative.
  2. ALLY reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to canceling, extending, terminating, or suspending this Campaign, the eligibility terms and criteria, and the timing of any action to be done, and all Participants and Members shall be bound by these amendments.
  3. ALLY shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Campaign howsoever arising. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination, or suspension by ALLY of this Initiative shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against ALLY for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  4. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity, and other materials relating to or in connection with the Campaign, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
